API 1169 & 1184 Preparation Training Courses

An energy revolution sparked by dramatic gains in crude oil and natural gas production in the U.S. and Western Canada, along with the aging of the existing pipeline network, has produced a series of major pipeline construction projects. This has led to a growing demand for skilled and knowledgeable Pipeline Construction Inspectors. Therefore, American Petroleum Institute (API) standardized an unbiased process for certifying qualified individuals who perform pipeline construction inspection activities. Through experience verification and testing, the certification process identifies competent inspectors who possess the basic credentials required to perform the duties to best industry practices and standards.

The boards of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, the INGAA Foundation Inc., the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association and the CEPA Foundation – major pipeline trade associations in the U.S. and Canada, respectively – have voted to endorse a program to ensure all Pipeline Inspectors doing work for their companies are certified. Owner/Operator companies have the prerogative to designate their implementation date.

Thus, Assessed LLC is excited to offer its tailored classroom API 1169 & 1184 Examination Preparation Training Courses. These 2-day intensive and rigorous courses are designed to prepare an individual to pass the API 1169 or 1184 certification exams. The courses cover all information in the current 2024 API 1169 Pipeline Inspector Certification program and the new API 1184 Pipeline Facility Construction Inspector Certification program, including applicable codes and standards.

Developed with the API exam formats in mind with practice exams given, Assessed training courses are invaluable in fully preparing you for successful completion of the exams. The agenda for the facilitator-led 2-day classroom course covers American Codes only. All questions on both exams are derived from the references listed in the Publications “Effectivity Sheet” and “Body of Knowledge”.

We look forward to registering you for one of our upcoming training sessions to prepare you for successful completion of the API 1169 and/or 1184 Examination.
